The Dine, Learn & Move program is a FREE 11-month program presented by a partnership between M-NCPPC Department of Parks and Recreation Prince George’s County, Prince George’s County Health Department and Suburban Hospital. The program aims to promote healthy eating, active living and reinforce health behaviors in order to reduce the prevalence of various chronic diseases amongst county residents.
Program Overview
Dine, Learn & Move sessions are two hours long. During the first segment participants are encouraged to get up and move through an instructor lead exercise routine. Next, participants relax and learn about healthy eating from a Registered Dietician. Lastly, the program wraps up with a step by step healthy cooking demonstration that includes a free sample and take home recipe.
