Annual Dance Showcases

Choreographers' Showcase

Friday, January 22 - Sunday, January 24, 2021 via Facebook Live

The year 2020 has been marked by unprecedented challenges for the dance world. A global pandemic has confined dancers to their homes; studios and performance spaces have been shut down; How have choreographers responded? Houses and apartments have been re-designed as home studios. Phones, computers, and tablets have become video cameras. Virtual performances, and video concerts have become the new normal.

Six choreographers from Maryland, Virginia, and District of Columbia will present their dance works on camera, along with discussion of their individual artistic visions. This performance is FREE to the public. Suitable for all ages.
